Police say a middle school student’s reported LSD ingestion led to two arrests months later, including charges against a juvenile and a 39-year-old Palmyra woman.

The Palmyra Police Department announced the arrests February 11 following an investigation into an incident in the Village of Palmyra.

Officers first responded on September 19 around 11:15 a.m. to assist EMS at Pal-Mac Middle School. Police say a student ingested LSD and EMS transported the child to the hospital.

Investigators later determined the illegal substance allegedly came from a shared living space inside a residence on Cuyler Street in the village.

Police arrested a juvenile offender from Cuyler Street at 4:33 p.m. February 11. Officers charged the juvenile with Endangering the Welfare of a Child and Reckless Endangerment in the second degree.

Police processed the juvenile at the department and released the individual to a legal guardian. The juvenile must report to Wayne County Probation to answer the charges.

Officers arrested Andrea L. Allen-Ascioti, 39, of Cuyler Street, at 5:05 p.m. the same day. Police charged her with Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

In a separate announcement, police said an investigation revealed Allen-Ascioti smoked marijuana with her 11-year-old child on multiple occasions at her residence.

Police transported Allen-Ascioti to the Wayne County Jail. She is scheduled for CAP arraignment February 12. Authorities said they will seek an Order of Protection at arraignment.
