ITHACA — The Ithaca Police Department arrested a 58-year-old Ithaca man, Duane Magee, after a stabbing incident occurred early Sunday morning at an apartment complex in the 100 block of East Green Street, and he is now facing assault and attempted murder charges.
According to the Ithaca Police Department, officers responded to the stabbing incident at 1:37 A.M. on Sunday, where they found a victim who had been stabbed with a knife, and the victim was subsequently transported to a regional trauma center and is listed in stable condition.
The suspect and the victim were known to each other, and the incident is considered isolated, with Magee being charged with Assault in the First Degree and Attempted Murder in the Second Degree, after being taken into custody at the Seneca Street Parking Garage.
Magee was arraigned in Ithaca City Court and remanded to the Tompkins County Jail.
